Bather - Pet Supermarket : Job Details

We are searching for a detail-oriented team member who has a passion for keeping dogs clean and healthy! A successful Dog Bather is resilient, perceptive, patient, adaptable, and a compassionate dog lover! You'll help to get the dogs comfortable in our salon and spend time bathing them, trimming their nails and providing support throughout the pet's stay.

• Perform bathing services, including, medicated and general cleansing, parasite control baths, pedicures, medicated dips and ear cleansing, as requested for each pet
• Perform all general maintenance of grooming room; clean cages, tubs, grooming tables; vacuum floor; mop floor daily; empty trash; clean clipper blades, scissors and brushes after use.
• Interact with pet parents in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent customer service and addressing their grooming-related inquiries.
• Schedule grooming appointments, manage paperwork, and maintain accurate grooming records
• Learn and follow grooming policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure quality and consistency in all areas of the grooming business.

• Knowledge of bathing techniques for a variety of dog breeds & cats
• Recommend retail products that would aid in home grooming care of pets.
• Enjoys working closely with other team members.
• Passion for animals and genuine interest in pursuing a career in pet grooming.
• Basic knowledge of dog breeds, behavior, and common grooming practices
• Actively promote bathing services while working. If not actively working on a pet, needs to be out on the floor talking to customers to actively promote bathing services.

• Previous experience in bathing/grooming animals in a professional environment or completed professional training
• Audition required for the role

• Ability to handle and restrain pets of various sizes (up to 150+lbs) and temperaments with care and compassion.
• Walking and/or standing for long periods; frequently working in a bent position.
• May be required to use strength or agility in capturing and restraining stronger, more active animals.
