Join Our Team as a Part-time Bath Aide!

As a Bath Aide at Mennonite Village you'll play a vital role promoting residents' well-being and comfort by assisting with baths as requested and scheduled. You are responsible for honoring residents' modesty while assisting with dressing, bathing, toileting, grooming, and other activities of daily living.

What We're Looking For:

• Must have Heimlich Maneuver training.
• Understanding of and commitment to residents rights and dignity.
• First aid certification and Food handler's card within first 120 days of employment.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Foster positivity and actively engage in daily problem-solving.
• Display excellent organizational skills and self-motivation.
• Demonstrate a high level of discretion, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to accurately document activities in writing.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Assists with dressing, bathing, toileting, and grooming following approved service plan.
• Honors residents' modesty while assisting with bathing following approved service plan.
• Provides emotional support, validation for residents.
• Reports observations and pertinent information to the team leader, RCC, and Nurse.
• Records and reports any incidents/accidents.
• Safely operate and maintain equipment such as gait belts for resident transfers.
• Provides accurate documentation reflecting the daily care provided to the resident.
• Practices standard precautions with every resident, and additional precautions as directed.
• Be knowledgeable and adhere to a resident's service plan.
• Review the 24-hour book and related memos at the start of each shift.
• Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Reports allegations of abuse, neglect, misappropriation of property, exploitation, or mistreatment of residents to the administrator and appropriate regulatory entities.
