The organization is committed to maintaining operational integrity, ensuring compliance, and providing quality housing through collaborative and financially sound practices.Position SummaryWe are hiring a Banking Operations Coordinator to help ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role is critical to internal control and audit readiness, with responsibilities that include reconciling multiple operational bank accounts, investigating discrepancies, and working closely with accounting teams. It's ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, is detail-driven, and excels at process improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform daily and monthly reconciliation of multiple operational bank accountsInvestigate and resolve discrepancies in bank, ACH, or internal system recordsEnsure all transactions are recorded accurately and cleared promptlyMaintain accurate and well-organized reconciliation documentationCollaborate with internal teams and external banks to resolve open itemsEnsure compliance with GAAP and internal financial controlsPrepare monthly reconciliation reports for leadershipTrack and follow up with bookkeeping staff on corrections or outstanding issuesMaintain and update reconciliation procedures as neededIdentify opportunities to streamline processes or strengthen internal controlsAssist with audits and train new staff on reconciliation workflowsHandle sensitive financial information with strict confidentialityMeet all reconciliation deadlines as set by managementRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldMinimum 2 years of experience in bank reconciliationProficiency with Microsoft Excel and WordFamiliarity with accounting systems (Yardi/BJM experience strongly preferred)Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet multiple deadlinesProfessional, courteous, and customer-service orientedStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a team settingComfortable operating in a high-volume, fast-paced work environmentPreferred QualificationsMBA, CPA, or other relevant certificationsExperience with QuickBooks or other accounting softwareBackground in financial analysis or audit preparation Location: Queens, NY Employment Type: Full-time Compensation: $22.00-$23.00 per hourWhy EqualAccessWe don't just place candidates - we help build careers.
