Banking Compliance & Regulations Analyst-Japanese Bilingual Job Num: 57005 Legal Job Description Japanese global bank NY branch in midtown NYC seeks Japanese bilingual Compliance / Regulations Analyst to perform corporate functions and supervise U.S. entities. As member of The Front Office Risk Management & Administration Team. The primary responsibility is to establish and maintain a sound risk management structure regarding compliance and operational risks. Exempt position, Hybrid 2-3 days in office /week $120,000.00 To $140,000.00 plus bonus with fabulous benefits package Your Duties and Responsibilities: Primarily responsible for monitoring regulations. Works with risk owners to ensure that Global Market Unit complies with all required regulations. Assists with creating regulatory compliance frameworks for GMU. Responsible for legal documentation, procedure manuals updates, FRB / NYSDFS examinations, compliance testing, and audits as needed. Ensures BSA/AML compliance. Performs KYC process and conducts account opening, monitoring and closing processes for GMU customers/ counterparties. Performs transactions / counterparties review and prepares monthly reports. Monitor credit line compliance. Performs operational risk management, as well as development and improvement of internal controls. May liaise with Head Office. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. Volcker Rule Responsible Officer (Secondary) Act as the secondary Volcker Rule Responsible Officer for GMU. Responsible for (i) ensuring that all trading desks' activities are in compliance with the Volcker Rule (ii) keeping up with any changes and new developments related to Volcker Rule provisions affecting the activities of GMU (iii) ensuring that the Market Making Desk, ALM Desk and Investment Desk Policies and Procedures remain in compliance with the applicable requirements of the Volcker Rule. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by General Counsel, New York Branch. Your Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent, in finance, economics, data processing and programming with 5+ years of related experience Advanced in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, and Outlook).. Good knowledge of Visual Basic Application, Access, and Power Point preferred. Knowledge of FX, Derivatives, and other capital market products and services, preferred.
