Job Overview

Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks a Banker for its New York, New York location.

Duties: Provide strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions and other types of financial transactions. Assume the lead responsibility for the execution of various phases of a Merger and Acquisition ( M&A ) transaction. Drive new business development with existing and prospective clients. Advise clients, senior-level team members and outside professional advisors on M&A transactions. Lead the drafting of situation analyses, pitch materials, information memoranda, investor and management presentations. Advise on legal documentation as it relates to M&A situations. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Requires a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Economics, Business Engineering, or related field and 4 years of experience as an Investment Banking Analyst, Investment Banking Associate or related position advising large cap corporate and private equity clients for a global financial services firm. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in the stated fields and 6 years of the specified post-baccalaureate experience. Full term of experience must include: Executing M&A transactions for public and private clients across multiple industries, including divestitures, and financial restructuring and cross border transactions; Working with public markets and publicly listed investment banking clients; Developing financial models for valuation analysis, merger consequence analysis, and financial trend analysis; Interpretation and communication of financial analysis for decision making; Public company defense advisory; Using Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint to build M&A models and presentations, including confidential information memoranda, teaser and investor relations presentations; and Reviewing legal documentation related to M&A, including purchase agreements, term sheets, transition services agreements and shareholder agreements. Up to 10% international and domestic travel required.

Wage Range: $275,000 to $275,000
