Bank Teller - Express Employment : Job Details

Located in Brooklyn Park, MN Salary: $18Express Employment Professionals is partnering with our client in Roseville to hire Direct Hire bank tellers. We are looking for an energetic and dedicated teller to provide excellent customer service by processing transactions (withdrawals, deposits, money orders, etc.) and responding to customer inquiries ad answering questions in a precise and timely manner. Previous banking experience is required.Requirements:Previous teller/banking experience and cash handling experience required.

• Ability to cross-sell bank products and services.
• Able to lift and move coin bags (up to 30 lbs.).
• Balancing accuracy and math skills.
• Experience with EZ Teller, Navigator, Fiserv and EZ ID (Preferred not required)

Hours: 8:30 - 5 Monday - Friday9 - 12 Saturday, rotating scheduleMore details for the position:Teller: 80%

• Process customer deposits and withdrawals, which includes verifying currency to deposit slips, checking for proper endorsements, accurate recording of dollar amounts, identification of Canadian items, and correct receipting of all items.
• Cash checks for customers requesting identification within established guidelines, determining proper funds availability based on bank policy and regulation requirements, and verifying against stop payments and recorded signatures.
• Issue cashier's checks and cash advances on major credit cards; sell Travelers Express money orders, Travelers Cheques, Pre-paid cards. Accept and process loan payments, TT&L (Treasury Tax & Loan) payments, bond coupons, process savings bond applications and redemptions.
• Recognize red flags related to fraud and forgery.
• Customer Service and Sales: 20%
• Acknowledge and greet customers in a professional, friendly manner, determine their needs, respond to inquiries and answer questions regarding service charges and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies.
• Actively and effectively apply cross-selling techniques to create interest in other products and services.
• Maintain confidentiality in all employee and customer affairs.

Balancing: 20%

• Buy and sell currency from the vault as necessary, ensuring cash drawer limits are not exceeded.
• Ensure all transactions are thoroughly documented on the teller tape to minimize bank liability and maintain audit trail of customer transactions.
