The Mundy Companies, a leader in the industrial maintenance, services, and construction fields, is currently hiring for a long-term position in the Freeport, TX area:BAGGING LINE SUPERVISOR(HAMER FORM, FILL, SEAL (FFS) BAGGING LINE)Job Duties and Responsibilities* Operate the bagging machine, and keep weights adjusted to provide an accurate weight of the product* Operate the heat sealer, recognize, and assess problems with the sealing process and make the appropriate adjustments to ensure a quality seal* Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule, or templates* Observes machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction* Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance assuring product meets quality requirements* Perform routine machine maintenance* Assist other operators to set up machines and any other necessary tasks to adhere to deadlines and completion of product* Moving palleted materials around the facility, recording and reporting these movements* Gathering and bundling customer orders according to company process, including documentation* Practice good housekeeping and immediately clean up any spilled material safely* Observe and report on any issues on the robotic palletizer* Other duties may be assignedThe successful candidate will maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness at all times. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a safe, efficient manner. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing is also required.
