Considered as one of Aspens favorite places since it opened in 1889 at the height of Aspens boomtown silver-mining era, the hotel features Prospect, an American bistro; aprs-ski favorite the Living Room bar and lounge; the award-winning Auberge Spa; and the legendary J-Bar, which is lauded as an Aspen institution. Hotel Jerome was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

**Role Summary**

Join our team as the Bad Harriet Steward for Hotel Jerome, serving the needs of the business, our guests, and our colleagues by maintaining bar cleanliness and assisting Front of House staff.

**Core Responsibilities**

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done! Within the Auberge family, our people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their teammates. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

* Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and Hotel Jerome requirements.

* Check the working condition of the dishwashing machine in accordance with specifications; rectify any deficiencies

* Upkeep of bar and inventory

* Hand washing and polishing of vintage glassware

* Maintaining cleanliness of the bar

* Maintaining washroom cleanliness

* Fill the dishwashing machine with specified amounts of designated chemicals. Ensure the temperature level of each cycle is set to standard.

* Organize the breakdown area for the drop-off of dirty wares before placing them in the dishwashing machine.

* Sort, stack, and store cleaned wares in designated areas.

* Handle all wares CAREFULLY to prevent breakage and loss.

* Maintain the dishwashing machine, including; changing water/filters, maximizing consumption of water and chemicals, breakdown and cleaning machine

* Clean and sanitize pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment in accordance with departmental standards.

Stock kitchen lines with designated cleaned wares, utensils, and equipment.

Keep the kitchen clean, including mat cleanliness, trash removal, etc.

**Pay Range**

This is an hourly non-exempt position and pays $22 an hour

**Skills and Abilities**

* Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English

**Desired Qualifications**

* Previous experience as resort/restaurant dishwasher or in janitorial/cleaning position.
