Backhoe Operator - Aerotek : Job Details

Aerotek's client is looking for an experienced Backhoe Operator to join our team in Crofton, MD.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing excavation tasks such as digging trenches/holes, moving materials, clearing land and other tasks in construction or wet and dry utility projects. This role requires operating heavy machinery, ensuring safety protocols, conducting routine maintenance, and assisting with various construction site tasks.

• Operate backhoe machinery efficiently and safely.
• Dig trenches, holes, and perform other excavation tasks.
• Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and guidelines.
• Conduct routine maintenance on the excavator and other equipment.
• Assist with additional construction site tasks as needed.

• Proficiency in operating excavators and backhoes.
• 5+ years of experience with wet utilities.
• Experience with heavy equipment operation.
• Knowledge of dozer and pipe laying techniques.

• Experience with loaders and skids is advantageous.
• Additional experience in pipe laying is a plus.

• Work will be conducted on large utility jobs between Waldorf and Rockville. All tasks will be performed outdoors in both wet and dry utility environments.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
