From the team behind Michelin Bib Gourmand–awarded Sami & Susu, Shifka is a bright, all-day pita shop in NoHo serving signature pita sandwiches, grain bowls, dips, and soft serve ice cream. The menu draws on Mediterranean and Middle Eastern flavors, with items like Cauliflower Shawarma, Harissa Chicken, Lamb Kebab, and house-made dips served with fresh pita.
We're building a rock-solid Back of House team — line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers .We're looking for people who:
Have BOH experience in fast-paced kitchens (Mediterranean/Middle Eastern a plus, but not required)
Work clean, stay organized, and communicate well
Can handle volume without losing focus on quality
Are reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Can work weekends
Roles & Responsibilities:
Line Cooks: Execute menu items consistently and on time during service
Prep Cooks: Handle daily prep for proteins, produce, and sauces to spec
Dishwashers: Keep kitchenware clean, organized, and ready for service
Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment
Support each other to keep service smooth and energy positive
