Job DescriptionJob DescriptionUS Citizen ONLYNO Third Parties!Job Title: Azure/Databricks ArchitectLocation: [Remote]Job Type: [Contract 6 months]We are seeking an experienced Azure/Databricks Architect to lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable data solutions on Microsoft Azure using Databricks. You will work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to create cloud- solutions that support advanced analytics, machine learning, and real-time data processing.Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement end-to-end cloud-based data architectures using Azure and Databricks.
- Lead data strategy, architecture, and pipeline development for large-scale data platforms.
- Develop optimized and secure solutions for data ingestion, transformation, storage, and access.
- Implement best practices in data governance, security, scalability, and cost optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to engineering teams on Azure and Databricks capabilities.
- Lead proof-of-concepts and evaluate new technologies to improve data infrastructure.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering or architecture roles.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure services (Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory, Key Vault, etc.).
- 3+ years of experience with Databricks, including Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, and workspace administration.
- Strong expertise in SQL, Python, and/or Scala.
- Deep understanding of distributed computing, big data processing, and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure-as-Code (ARM, Terraform, Bicep).
Skills:
- Azure certification(s) (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Data Engineer).
- Experience integrating Databricks with Power BI, Snowflake, or other BI/analytics tools.
- Knowledge of machine learning workflows and tools.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
