Qualifications
- Public Trust Clearable
- AWS Advanced Networking Specialty Certification
- 8+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 2 years focusing on AWS
- Preferred experience with AWS Control Tower and AWS Organizations for multi-account setups
- Preferred experience container networking (Amazon ECS, EKS)
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, BGP, SD-routing, VPNs, firewalls)
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS networking services, including: Amazon VPC, AWS Direct Connect, AWS Transit Gateway, AWS IPAM, Amazon Route 53, AWS WAF, PrivateLink
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience with Terraform; version control with Git
- Experience in designing and implementing complex network architectures on AWS
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud networking
- Understanding of software-defined networking (SDN)
- Experience with network automation and orchestration
- Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- AWS specific skills: VPC design and implementation (subnets, route tables, NACLs, security groups); experience with AWS Network Firewall and AWS WAF; understanding of AWS Direct Connect and connectivity options to AT&T Netbond
- Expertise in AWS Transit Gateway for network hub-and-spoke architectures
- Knowledge of AWS PrivateLink for secure service connectivity
- Network Security Capabilities: Implementation of network segmentation and micro-segmentation
- Experience with AWS security services (GuardDuty, Security Hub, Config); understanding of DDoS protection strategies on AWS
- Knowledge of encryption in transit (SSL/TLS) implementation
- Familiarity with AWS IAM for network resource access control
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical
Duties
- Design and implement scalable and secure network architectures on AWS
- Write infrastructure as code for network deployments using Terraform
- Implement and manage hybrid cloud connectivity solutions
- Ensure network compliance with FedRAMP
- Implement network monitoring and logging solutions
- Collaborate with application teams to design network solutions for various workloads
