AWS Architect - US Remote W/Travel

This position will be remote, but there will be a travel component of roughly once a month expected to travel into the client's main headquarters in Dallas, TX area.

- Collaborate as part of an assigned team on the development and testing of DevOps solutions for automated testing, infrastructure, and config management.
- Guide design and architecture discussions
- Mentor other engineers on the project team
- Embody good development practices including automated testing, code reviews, effective documentation
- Lead conversations and guide customers in realizing business values.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 yrs experience in AWS architecting
- 3 years' experience in DevOps and Automation
- 10+ years total IT experience
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in transition, migration, architecting, AWS security, and/or cost optimization
- Planning of the project together with other developers
- Good understanding of the application structure and planning infra accordingly
- Creating a cloud product IaaS, PaaS, SaaS
- Designing and developing in AWS environments
- Executing and implementing microservices architecture
- Moving large databases from on-premises to cloud platforms
- TeleForm experience
- Using Docker and Kubernetes to visualize servers for development
- Testing environments with Docker and Kubernetes containers
- Creating AWS cloud formation templates for subnets, security groups, EC2 instances, and more
- Providing cloud design recommendations based on business goal
- Planning, designing, and developing complex cloud solutions
- Utilizing appropriate software engineer concepts and processes to execute projects
- Assisting in solving support problems
- Recommending development standards, programming, procedures, and cloud architecture for code reuse
- Researching and maintaining knowledge in emerging technologies
- Carrying out disaster recovery
- Applying development optimization tools
- Automation of work processes, such as deployment
- Bug detection and fixing
- Creation of various product features
- Identifying the best cloud tech stack for the project
- Bringing the product to market
- Implementing modifications and updates after the release
- A desire to engage in continuous learning to ensure knowledge of the latest DevOps technologies and AWS product updates.
- Strong ability to solve problems using code and scripting. Preferably with programming skills in Python, Groovy, Shell or Java
- In-depth understanding and experience working with AWS.
- Experience with IaC or automated builds using CI/CD tools such as: Jenkins, GitLab, SonarQube, Twistlock etc
- Experience with container orchestration utilizing ECS, EKS, Kubernetes, or Docker Swarm
- Experience with one or more of the following Configuration Management Tools: Ansible, Chef, Salt, Puppet
- Full stack experience to be able to design and problem solve in all layers including infrastructure, networking, databases.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- AWS Certifications Professional Level

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $130k-$165,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
