Primary Job Title: AVS Infrastructure Engineer Location: New York, NY (Hybrid) Shift/Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (37.5 hours/week) Date Posted: 7/25/25 Employment Type: Contract (6 Months) Salary Range: $75 - $85/hr Job Description: As a member of the US Infrastructure Planning and Engineering team, you'll play a critical role in designing, managing, and optimizing the organization's IT infrastructure. This includes data centers, cloud platforms, virtualization, storage systems, automation tools, and disaster recovery strategies. You will drive the adoption of cloud technologies like Azure and AVS, while also leveraging automation to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency. Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with your manager and product owner to understand priorities and execute plans to maintain and modernize infrastructure
  • Develop and implement strategies to transition workloads to Azure VMware Solution (AVS) and native Azure
  • Design, implement, and administer infrastructure solutions: virtualization platforms, storage systems, physical servers
  • Drive automation using tools such as Ansible and Terraform
  • Manage data centers, disaster recovery, and service continuity plans
  • Oversee lifecycle management of Windows Server and Linux RHEL images
  • Manage Active Directory services in the US Region, including user accounts, group policies, and security
  • Provide support for infrastructure services such as Exchange and SMTP relay
  • Optimize storage systems for data backup, storage, and recovery
  • Evaluate and implement physical server and cloud technologies
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to design infrastructure solutions aligned with business needs
  • Stay current with industry trends and recommend innovations
  • Mentor and lead infrastructure professionals, promoting collaboration and continuous learning
Qualifications:Must-Have Skills:
  • 5+ years in infrastructure management
  • 3+ years with cloud technologies: AVS, Azure, DevOps
  • 3+ years VMware technologies: vSphere, vCenter, VCF, VxRail, NSX-T, HCX, vSAN, Horizon, VDI
  • 3+ years with EMC/DELL storage and Commvault/Rubrik backup/recovery
  • 3+ years of physical servers and virtualization
  • 3+ years of disaster recovery, backup, and continuity strategies
  • Active Directory administration, group policy, and security
  • Windows/Linux (RHEL) image lifecycle management: hardening, patching, compliance
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • SQL design and disaster recovery
  • VMware Aria Operations, Log Insight, Network Insight
  • Certifications: VMware, Microsoft, EMC
  • Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) - required by Oct 31, 2025
  • AI Fundamentals (AI-900)
  • Experience with enterprise tools (ServiceNow, Confluence, JIRA)
  • SQL solution implementation and support
  • Exchange server and SMTP relay experience
  • Ansible and Terraform automation expertise
