The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer-fueled organization whose mission is to cure Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis and improve the quality of life for the children and adults affected by these diseases. The Foundation's core values of compassion, integrity, leadership, collaboration, and inclusion inspire and drive every member of our highly performing team.Position Summary:The Associate Vice President, In-person Education and Career Development, manages a team focused on chapter-level education and healthcare professional career development programs. The Associate Vice President works closely with chapters, healthcare professionals, and individuals with IBD to design, implement, and evaluate these programs. In-person education includes programs for adult, pediatric patients and caregivers, healthcare professional education, Crohn's & Colitis Congress, and career development programs: Visiting IBD Fellow, Advanced Practice Provider, and IBD Start. This position reports directly to the Chief, Education, Support & Advocacy Officer.Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- In partnership with key medical volunteers, Chapter staff, individuals with IBD and across ESA, oversee and manage the development of the annual education plan aligned to the Foundation's strategic plan by leveraging historical data and strategic priorities to select priority programs and markets
- Supervise and support staff leading in-person MyIBD Learning and IBD Pro chapter-based programs
- Provide strategic guidance and support to the staff leading the career development programs, including, but not limited to, Visiting IBD Fellows, IBD Start, and APP Preceptorship programs
- Engage regularly with chapter leadership, ensuring alignment with strategic plan, annual program calendar, and pre-planning for the next calendar year
- Provide guidance, support, mentoring, and coaching of the team through one-on-one meetings with each team member
- Create a strong team and collaborative environment across the in-person education team and with the chapters staff and volunteers
- Oversee and guide the team to engage local medical leadership and Chapter partners in the development and implementation of all programs from content plan, agendas, speakers, logistics, registration, marketing, evaluation and outcomes reporting
- Develop annual budget for all assigned programs and ensure revenue meets budgeted goals working with Business Development
- Ensure cross coverage during leaves/absences, approve paid time off, approve timesheets, and conduct annual performance reviews
- Audit and attend education programs and ensure a positive experience for attendees and speakers
- Collaborate across departments to ensure effective registration, outreach, and promotion of programs (including but not limited to collaboration with chapters, marketing, and IT)
- Collaborate with Impact Team on outcomes reporting for MyIBDLearning and IBD Pro programs
- Collaborate with Virtual Education, Advocacy, and Support team to ensure cross-promotion, volunteer engagement opportunities
- Ensure all data policies and technologies are used by the team

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in public health or health-related discipline required.
- MPH preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in program development, preferably with a health-related organization, not-for-profit experience is a plus.
- Ability to develop collaborative relations with health care facilities, community organizations, and volunteers.
- Demonstrated track record of success using a variety of strategies to improve service delivery, increase presence in the health community, develop and implement membership growth and participation.
- Applicable skills in planning and budgeting, project management, volunteer development, and supervision.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented professional with strong organization skills.
- An effective written and verbal communicator with a focus on collaboration.
- Able to multitask.
- Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database (Salesforce) applications preferred.
- Extensive travel (30%) within territory and the ability to work flexible hours (evening and weekends) are required.
- Ability to provide personal transportation is a plus (reimbursement provided).
