ABOUT THE ROLE

The AVP Product Marketing Manager focuses on retail banking for the credit union and optimizes the end-to-end member journey by combining deep market insights, data-driven planning and cross-functional collaboration to bring strategic marketing solutions to life. Defines and executes go-to-market strategies that align with member needs, business goals and market opportunities that drive product awareness, engagement adoption, and retention across consumer and business financial products.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Manages, directs and controls the activities of staff. Coaches, mentors and improves the skills of staff members to improve the member experience. Interviews, schedules and assigns work. Establishes performance expectations, priorities and goals, provides feedback and monitors results. Engages staff and supports professional development initiatives. Recommends the discipline and/or discharge of subordinates while maintaining the required documentation.
  • Manages campaign development for credit card products, investment solutions, deposit and loan products including research, strategy development, creative execution and measurement.
  • Supports credit card product members with regular communications including ongoing specials or campaigns.
  • Communicates with management the competitive position of the credit union's products and services.
  • Works with the Digital Marketing Specialist to build and maintain the onboarding process specific to credit card products.
  • Identifies and executes new opportunities for acquiring new members/customers.
  • Provides comprehensive reporting on a quarterly basis of marketing efforts and shares findings with the FVP, Marketing & Member Experience as well as the Executive Management team.
  • Uses data-related dashboards to better understand our credit card and deposit customers. Uses information to develop cross-selling strategies.
  • Manages brand standards and monitors consistency of execution throughout the credit union.
  • Develops advertising or assists with PR initiatives on an as-needed basis.
  • Performs all other duties assigned by the FVP, Marketing.
  • QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education

    Bachelor's degree in marketing or communications required.

    Experience/Skills/Knowledge:

  • Minimum 8 years previous experience in a financial institution marketing role.
  • Strong team player and collaboration skills required.
  • Must have experience building marketing plans for credit card products, deposit products and/or loans.
  • Must be able to balance creative and technical skills.
  • Must have superior time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects/priorities simultaneously with an effective outcome.
  • Must have the ability to work with and extract data for reporting purposes.
  • Must possess strong service orientation skills in alignment with the credit union's mission and core values.
  • Excellent verbal, written, telephone and interpersonal communication skills required. Must have demonstrated public speaking skills.
  • Must be PC proficient, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the Internet.
  • Ability to function in a commercial office environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: fax, copier, telephone, etc. Some travel is required. Ability to lift a minimum of 25lbs. e.g. file boxes
