Description
Position Summary: The purpose of this job is to develop and deploy AI systems that mimic human intelligence. It involves collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to build and deploy machine learning models for various applications, while also collaborating with other teams to implement solutions and communicate findings effectively.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of machine learning models, including training models to iteratively improve accuracy.Lead cross-functional projects and collaborate with stakeholders such as underwriters, data scientists, actuaries, software engineers, and data engineers to develop AI strategies and solutions.Utilize AI models for data collection and preparation for analysis and model building, ensuring data quality and integrity.Analyze large datasets and use data visualization techniques to communicate findings and make recommendations.Drive innovation in AI applications through research and implementation of advanced AI techniques.Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required.Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's or doctoral degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field preferred.
- 8+ years of professional or project experience in machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data mining techniques required.
- Insurance industry knowledge is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Tableau or PowerBI is preferred.
- Prior experience managing employees is preferred.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python or R required.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of various machine learning algorithms and techniques.
- Ability to create clear and informative data visualizations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
The salary range for this role is $128,100 - $249,900. The listed annual salary is subject to change depending on performance, education, experience, skills, location, travel, proficiency, and business needs. Base pay is part of GNY's total compensation, which may include an annual discretionary bonus based on performance.
