As an Aviation Digital Project Coordinator, the candidate will undertake professional-level project coordination tasks within the aviation/airport sector. Your on-site role will involve travel across the New York metropolitan area and major airports. The role involves organizing, administering, and monitoring technology projects, with a specific emphasis on Aviation Digital Transformation initiatives. Extensive client/customer engagement to keep projects progressing forward is an inherent requirement and primary objective of the role.

The chosen candidate s contributions will be instrumental in supporting Cignus strategic objectives, serving as a key enabler for client programs across various business divisions. As an on-site point of contact, the project coordinator will nurture relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and fostering strong partnerships. Additionally, the project coordinator will utilize ITSM best practices to implement projects into production environments seamlessly.

The responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to:

  • Tracking multiple technology and digital innovation projects in response to organizational requirements
  • Engaging airport stakeholders/clients and coordinating with project leads to achieve customer objectives
  • Balancing project decisions, risks, issues, and changes according to client and stakeholder expectations
  • Coordinating with other project managers, resource managers, account teams, and engineering to meet project requirements
  • Monitor project risks, issues, and changes to drive accountability
  • Compiling project status and for progress meetings with clients and senior management
  • Promoting cross-functional team collaboration
  • Engaging project team members effectively through multiple communications channels (email, text, in-person, phone, etc.)
  • Demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and gravitas in managing complex relationships and stakeholder expectations

Qualifications

  • Minimum of Bachelors degree in a technology or transportation related discipline
  • Minimum 5-7 years of work experience
  • Project coordination/management experience in an airport organization or similar setting
  • Understanding of aviation technologies, systems, and solutions
  • Proficiency in influencing key stakeholders
  • Strong customer service and customer-centric experience
  • Excellent communications and technical writing skills
  • Proficiency with Office Suite including Excel, Word, and Powerpoint

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity in Master System Integration projects/programs.
  • Familiarity with ITIL-based Service Delivery in airport environments.
  • Familiarity with IT Architecture, innovation, Digital transformation, and IT Security.
  • Understanding of Big Data, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, IoT, etc.
  • Exposure to the designing, implementing, auditing, and commissioning mission-critical systems at major international airports.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, and resource allocation procedures.

Travel

Local travel to New York Metro Area airports and PANYNJ offices
