Job Overview: An autonomous mobility company is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to support the inspection, maintenance, and operational readiness of its advanced vehicle fleet. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle diagnostics and repairs and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality inspections and repairs according to defined procedures

  • Conduct multi-point safety checks and system diagnostics, recommending necessary maintenance

  • Test and verify completed work meets safety and operational standards

  • Travel locally as needed to support vehicle setup, maintenance, and road-readiness

  • Maintain tools and shop environment, ensuring inventory is organized and functional

  • Escalate technical issues to appropriate engineering teams for resolution

  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation

  • Work with team leads to ensure all vehicles are in a ready state for testing or deployment

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as a vehicle technician

  • In-depth knowledge of vehicle maintenance, tools, systems, and diagnostics

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and MVR check

  • Strong multitasking and project coordination skills

  • Reliable and self-motivated with strong attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Physically able to lift 50 lbs and perform job-related activities (standing, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical trade school certification or associate degree in automotive repair

  • Experience in automotive research or engineering labs (e.g., Dyno, battery testing)

  • Familiarity with CAN systems, wiring diagrams, and soldering

  • Experience towing trailers or vehicle haulers

  • Willingness to travel occasionally beyond the local area
