Automotive Parts Consultant - OReilly Auto Parts : Job Details

As an Automotive Parts Consultant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to both retail and installer customers. This position also supports store management in achieving team goals. Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Promote and follow company customer service programs, such as Hi-5 and Low Price Guarantee.
• Warmly greet customers and assist them in choosing the right automotive parts and merchandise.
• Support managers and service specialists in assisting professional customers as necessary.
• Complete all relevant company training to enhance your role in customer service.
• Deliver outstanding service to customers over the phone, quoting accurate prices, and recommending additional products.
• Maintain the cash drawer with precision, handling transactions professionally.
• Process returns and exchanges in a friendly manner, adhering to company policies.
• Resolve customer complaints with a positive approach.
• Assist in routine operational tasks including inventory management and store organization.
• Operate store test equipment like the brake lathe after completing appropriate training.
• Provide in-store services for customers, such as wiper installations and battery testing, where permitted by law.
• Occasionally make deliveries using a company vehicle when required.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Strong ability to match alphanumeric sequences quickly.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask efficiently between phone and in-store customers.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of automotive parts and sales, including familiarity with cataloging systems.
• ASE certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages, particularly Spanish.
