Job Description :

The Automotive Parts Consultant will deliver exceptional service to both retail and installer customers. This role also assists store management in achieving performance goals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Promote and adhere to all company customer service initiatives, such as Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, etc.
  • Greet walk-in customers warmly and assist them in selecting the right parts.
  • Support managers and installer service specialists in serving professional clients effectively.
  • Complete training related to the position as assigned by the company.
  • Provide excellent service over the phone, answering calls per company policy, accurately looking up parts, quoting prices, and recommending related items.
  • Maintain a secure cash drawer, accurately process cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
  • Handle exchanges and returns following company policies in a friendly manner.
  • Resolve customer complaints with a positive attitude.
  • Assist in daily store operations including stock updates, freight receiving, and inventory counts.
  • Operate store test equipment after completing the necessary training.
  • Perform in-store services for customers as permitted by local laws.
  • Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when business needs arise, ensuring a clean driving record.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.
    • SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIESRequired:
    • Strong ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
    • Exceptional customer service skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
    • Ability to multitask effectively while assisting customers both in-person and on the phone.
    Desired:
    • Knowledge of automotive parts, cataloging, and automotive sales or service.
    • ASE certification.
    • Proficiency in multiple languages, with Spanish being highly preferred.
