Job Description

The Lube and Tire Technician at Monro, also called General Service Tech, is an entry-level automotive technician role. You will undergo comprehensive training from day one, covering all aspects of the role. As a team member, you will perform maintenance services on guest vehicles, contribute to a positive guest experience, and ensure vehicle safety and reliability.

Pay is based on experience, plus incentives if applicable.

Responsibilities
  • Keyholder duties include supervising the shop in the absence of the Store Manager, managing end-of-day paperwork, and assisting the store manager.
  • Perform tire mounting, dismounting, repair, and balancing.
  • Conduct quick lube services such as oil changes and lubrication.
  • Inspect and rotate tires, perform basic maintenance like battery replacements.
  • Training will be provided for alignments, brake services, and scheduled maintenance.
Compensation

The hourly rate ranges from $16 to $18 based on experience. Additional incentives and compensation are available.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Automotive experience
  • Own basic mechanic tools or participate in the tool purchase program
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Positive attitude and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work with hands overhead, stand long periods, lift 50 lbs
