Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Automation Project Manager to lead automation initiatives within a biotherapeutics research environment. This role involves managing lab equipment projects—from installation and maintenance to full-scale automation integration. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with instruments such as liquid handlers, Tecan, and Hamilton systems, and demonstrate strong project management capabilities using tools like JIRA and Lucid.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end project management for lab automation efforts
• Coordinate instrument installations, repairs, and lab moves
• Track project progress and manage tasks using JIRA and Lucid
• Collaborate with research, IT, and engineering teams to implement solutions
• Optimize lab automation performance through continuous evaluation and improvement
• Maintain strong vendor relationships for equipment and service needs

Qualifications:

• Experience managing automation projects in biotherapeutics or a related field
• In-depth knowledge of lab instruments (e.g., Tecan, Hamilton, liquid handlers)
• Proficiency in project management tools (JIRA, Lucid)
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

• PMP or equivalent certification
• Experience managing external vendors
• Familiarity with regulatory standards in biotherapeutics research

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
