About Our Client We are currently working with a growing Manufacturing company in their search for an Automation Engineer to join the team due to growth and the want to optimize manufacturing processes and developing advanced automation solutions. This position will report into the Engineering Manager and will ideally have 3+ years of experience within an automation role in a Manufacturing environment. Job Description The Automation Engineer - Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:

• Design, develop, and implement automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
• Troubleshoot and maintain automation equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions into existing manufacturing processes.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including schematics, programming logic, and user manuals.
• Conduct testing and validation of automated systems to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Provide technical support and training to production and maintenance personnel.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions through automation.
• Stay updated with emerging automation technologies and industry trends.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

The Successful Applicant The ideal Automation Engineer - Manufacturing will have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in industrial automation within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar).
• Experience with robotics, motion control, and vision systems is preferred.
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics, control systems, and instrumentation.
• Knowledge of networking protocols and industrial communication systems (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with CAD software for electrical and mechanical design.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Programming experience in Python, C++, or other scripting languages for automation purposes.
• Certifications in automation or control systems engineering.
