Automation (Controls) Engineer - Flex : Job Details

Reporting to the Director Operations Engineering the Automation (Controls) Engineer role involves maintaining and improving automation equipment, tooling and applications as required to meet specifications. What a typical day looks like:Controls support of complex automated manufacturing lines. Individual will be onsite expert on controls systems/hardware. Must strive to solve the problem or communicate with machine OEM to provide resolution to controls related issues. Mentor Junior Engineers and Technicians on Electrical/ Hardware troubleshooting. Establish technical manuals, redline drawings, create or edit training documentation/troubleshooting guides for automated cells and devices. Understand the machine operating principle, consequence of wear and tear parts and product defects in relation to the machines electro-mechanical components.
