Fleet Engineers, a Tramec Company, is seeking an experienced Automatic Press Operator to join our team. As an Automatic Press Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining automatic press machines to produce high-quality products. This is a 1st Shift, full time, non-exempt position, typically Monday-Friday 6:00 am-2:30 pm, but hours could vary and with occasional overtime opportunities. Essential Job Duties. Installs specified dies in press. Adjusts ram stroke of press. Turns knobs or installs gears to synchronize action of feed bar or pinch rollers with feed and takeoff conveyor and automatic action of ram. Enter required information into computer for press operations. Positions and clamps feed guides. Threads metal strip from play out reel through pinch rollers or loads hopper or conveyor with metal blanks. Operates machine to crimp, punch, and cut metal foil used in fabricating radiator cores.
