The Division of Court Modernization (DCM), part of the New York State Office of Court Administration, is dedicated to making court spaces more functional and accessible through human-centered design and innovative technology. DCM specializes in AV/IT integration, including structured wiring, audio and acoustic systems, evidence presentation systems, videoconferencing, streaming, digital signage, and accessibility technology. We are seeking candidates with demonstrated experience in delivering technical training, documenting technical installations, creating marketing or instructional materials, and providing logistical support for complex projects. We are also seeking candidates with hands-on experience in performing structured cabling and audio-visual installations.

Responsibilities
The Audio Visual Specialist will perform a wide range of functions to support the Division of Court Modernization operations, including but not limited to, the research, development, design, deployment, maintenance, training and support of the state-of-the-art audio and visual systems in courtrooms, jury rooms, training and conference rooms throughout the state. Court Modernization technicians and engineers resolve and monitor cabling, networking equipment, audio visual hardware, software and configuration problems, contact vendors and visit remote location within New York State to resolve problems. Audio Visual Specialists coordinate with court managers and vendors for the delivery of audio-visual solutions and are responsible for reporting project progress to Technical Managers and the Director of Court Modernization. Court Modernization Audio Visual Specialists provide information to Technical Managers on the work of subordinate personnel and assist help desk personnel to resolve escalated technical problems. Depending on the job assignments, frequent travel within New York State, as well as the ability to lift equipment weighing up to 30 lbs, may be required.

POSITION TITLE: Audio Visual Specialist
BASE SALARY: $84,659 to$94,386 (Based on education, experience, and skills)
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and three to four (3-4) years of related technical experience; or An equivalent combination of education and related technical experience in a help desk or technical environment.
Additional Requirements:
• Frequent travel within the Western NY Area (Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo) may be required.
• Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 30 pounds may be required.
