The Attractions Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Attractions Department. Management-level associates are expected to work as much of each workday as necessary to complete their responsibilities; for OEM associates, overtime applies and is calculated accordingly.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of industry management experience preferred
- Experience leading a year-round, multi-shift team required
- Experience scheduling multiple job classes and shifts required
- Union environment management experience preferred
- Experience with computerized ticket sales
- Working knowledge of Siriusware a plus
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into insights and actions
- Numerical analysis skills to formulate conclusions and solutions
- Ability to handle stressful situations professionally and calmly
- Clear and positive communication with guests
- Strong interpersonal skills; tactful and flexible
- Excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills
- Operational knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
Responsibilities
- Maintain current knowledge of the attraction and hotel operations
- Respond to guest needs and concerns promptly and professionally, focusing on service recovery when needed
- Ensure safety and security policies are followed
- Oversee training of attraction staff
- Prepare and adjust weekly work schedules based on staffing and forecasts
- Authorize time off, schedule changes, overtime, and expenditures
- Interview, hire, coach, and develop team members
- Evaluate performance and take corrective actions as necessary
- Set goals, provide feedback, and recognize team members
- Manage ticket inventories and controls for admissions and events
- Conduct regular team meetings and communicate pertinent information
- Review work procedures and identify efficiency improvements
- Participate in revenue and expense forecasting for the department
