Base pay range

$90,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr

The Director of Attractions is a dynamic, strategic leader responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, staffing, guest experience, and safety protocols of all park attractions and custodial services. This role ensures exceptional performance and continuous improvement across a variety of indoor and outdoor experiences including Mini Golf, 4-D Theatre, Dinotorium, Sky Hike, Train, Zipline & Obstacle Course, Aerial Tram, and Paddle/Kayak Rentals. In addition, the Director manages all aspects of park custodial operations to maintain a clean, welcoming, and safe environment. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership abilities, deep operational expertise, and a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesAdditional duties may be assigned. Management retains the discretion to change or add to the duties of this position at any time.

  • Provide strategic direction and operational leadership for all attractions and custodial departments.
  • Develop long-term goals for attractions and custodial programs that support overall park objectives.
  • Foster a culture of safety, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Model Park and company culture, focusing heavily on servant leadership and effective communication.
  • Ensure safe, efficient, and guest-centered daily operations across all attractions and custodial zones.
  • Oversee all aspects of operating Snow Mountain attraction to maximize safety, guest satisfaction, and revenue.
  • Oversee scheduling, staffing levels, and labor performance to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and manage ride capacities, queue times, and guest traffic flow.
  • Coordinate with Facilities and Maintenance for the upkeep of attraction infrastructure and custodial equipment.
  • Ensure all employee/leadership training, audits, and sign-offs are completed accurately and on deadline.
  • Maintain high standards for cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction throughout the park.
  • Drive Park Net Promoter Score to highest levels possible, especially Snow Mountain.
  • Oversee the implementation and enforcement of safety protocols, ADA compliance, and emergency procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits and walkthroughs to ensure compliance with operational and safety standards.
  • Work with the Safety Director to ensure compliance with corporate safety policies.
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Reforecast budget and expenses throughout the year to ensure financial goals are met.
  • Analyze attendance, labor, and performance metrics to inform operational decisions.
  • Oversee procurement, vendor contracts, and supply inventories for attractions and custodial functions.
  • Generate annual business plans & reports as directed.
  • Implement and certify tasks/areas within divisions as operationally excellent.
  • Drive large-scale projects that impact the overall Park.
  • Partner with departments such as Marketing, Food & Beverage, Events, and Guest Services to align operational execution with broader park initiatives.
  • Serve as the key liaison with Risk Management, Safety, and HR on compliance, training, and policy enforcement.
  • Foster and develop strong partnerships with all departments on Park.
  • Participate in the departmental and park-wide duty manager programs.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and guest engagement strategies.
  • Lead and implement projects that enhance attraction offerings and streamline custodial efficiency.
  • Utilize guest feedback and performance data to drive service enhancements and capital improvements.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThese are carried out in accordance with applicable policies and laws. Responsibilities include:
  • Hire, train, develop, and manage attraction and custodial leadership teams.
  • Create and implement staff development programs, performance evaluations, and employee recognition initiatives.
  • Promote a high-performing, motivated, and service-oriented workforce.
  • Coach and develop managers and supervisors within the division.

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and staff development skills.
  • Expertise in safety, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with operational software (e.g., scheduling, POS, maintenance systems).
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business and technical documents and regulations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
Preferred
  • CPR/First Aid certification; NAARSO, AIMS, or similar safety certifications.
  • Background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance tracking.
  • Familiarity with custodial best practices in high-traffic environments.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Recreation, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience required.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in attractions, theme parks, or similar guest service environments required.
  • At least 3 years in a leadership role with multi-department or multi-attraction oversight required.
  • Experience overseeing a diverse range of attraction types, including aerial adventure or rail-based attractions preferred.
  • Project management experience related to capital upgrades or operational improvements preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Must have a valid GA Driver's License along with reliable transportation.
