Athletics and Facilities Specialist - City of Winchester Virginia : Job Details

Duties and Responsibilities:Schedules and coordinates various leagues and other activities. Administers athletic programs, camps, and special events. Coordinates background checks on volunteers. Markets athletic programs, camps, special events, and rentals through the Activities Guide, flyers, City of Winchester website, and television interviews. Assists with scheduling of the athletic facilities. Supervise part-time staff, volunteers, and vendors. Coordinates the efforts of the athletic division with the other divisions within the Parks & Recreation Department to ensure that goals are achieved. Other duties as assigned. Requirements:An associate degree in Parks and Recreation, Health and Physical Education, Sports Management, or a related field is required with some related experience, including supervision of personnel, game officiating, and computer experience.
