Job Description :

The Property & Specialty UW Effectiveness team is seeking a team member to help deliver underwriting solutions that enable profitable growth. As part of the Systematic Controls and Data Accuracy Team, this role focuses on defining and managing UW strategy across brands for Specialty products through data-supported analysis and project management. The role involves driving segmentation benefits across the policy lifecycle by developing systematic controls and enhancing DA behavioral programs. Stakeholder management and collaboration across various departments are essential, with senior management visibility and presentations to leadership. Responsibilities:

  • Define project strategy and plan
  • Conduct moderate to high complexity analysis with minimal supervision
  • Query data for ad hoc metric analysis
  • Create tools and queries for team use
  • Perform analysis on key projects
  • Recommend tools and techniques for analysis
  • Lead workstreams on medium to long-term projects
  • Manage aspects of moderate complexity projects, including team members
  • Conduct market trend analysis and competitive intelligence
  • Mentor less experienced analysts and provide ad hoc support
  • Evaluate and implement vendor products with limited supervision
  • Provide tactical recommendations based on analysis for distribution channels

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or equivalent in mathematics, economics, statistics, or related field
  • Minimum 6 years relevant experience, typically 8 years
  • PhD or research experience beneficial
  • Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software (e.g., SAS, Emblem)
  • Strong planning, analytical, decision-making, communication, and project management skills
  • Experience managing projects preferred
