Pay $115,000 - $130,000 annuallyThe Associate Vice President (AVP) of Clinical Services for Community Health and Behavioral Services (CHBS) provides clinical oversight of clinical programs under licensures from Office of Mental Health (OMH), Office of Addiction Supports and Services (OASAS) and contracted behavioral health services. In addition, the AVP of Clinical Services provides oversight of clinical services provided under the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), which includes OMH and OASAS programs.The AVP of Clinical Services position serves as a role model, maintaining and supporting positive relationships with staff in an environment of mutual respect and trust. This position is a strong advocate for consumers, ensuring and coordinating a process of continuous improvement, and is involved in maintaining customer focus within the department. This position participates in the development of a leadership system based upon the agency's mission, values, and high-performance expectations. This position will promote performance results through implementation of departmental work plan objectives and strategies related to the division's strategic plan. The position will utilize processes and make decisions based on data and analysis. The position will oversee the professional development of staff and communicate in a manner that energizes the work force, promotes retention, encourages team excellence, facilitates continuous learning and reinforces positive partnerships throughout the organization and in the community. Core Responsibilities Maintain a current and working knowledge of all applicable regulations for clinical programming under applicable OMH, OASAS and other programming CHBS is contracted to provide.Establish and maintain a work environment conducive to performance excellence and full participation of individuals or teams.Work collaboratively with AVP of Operations and Quality to identify and implement strategies to effectively ensure employee recruitment, engagement and retention that are cohesive to all goals and initiatives of the Division.Lead the clinical and nursing team in the delivery of professional, efficient and effective services.Work in collaboration with the AVP of Operations and Quality to develop, monitor and promote high quality service delivery.Partner with the AVP of Operations and Quality to coordinate clinical and operational functions.Oversee the clinical leadership team, focusing on developing their leadership and clinical supervision skills to support the clinical team.Lead the nursing team to ensure medical services are adequately supported and all functions of nursing are met per regulatory requirements.Work with quality team to establish, maintain and monitor policies, procedures, and regulations of the Agency and external regulatory bodies.Identify data necessary to support process improvement, achieve performance results, strategic planning and to facilitate leadership decisions.Establish and maintain positive relationships with consumers, families, community organizations, referral sources, and governing bodies. Serves as a point of contact for escalated concerns from any of these stakeholders and works to resolution with individual.Lead client satisfaction surveying process, as defined by applicable regulations and program requirements to determine customer requirements, expectations, and how relationships with customers are built and their satisfaction determined and maintained.Review and analyze services, both programmatically and fiscally, to meet the current and future needs of consumers, families, community, staff and agency.In collaboration with EVP of Behavioral Health Services, develop annual strategic plan for Division.Partner with AVP of Operations and Quality to proactively address the Divisions strategic plan and develop and implement a work plan to support achieving annual goals and objectives.Represent agency and Division services by serving on assigned committee memberships, to include Local Government Unit meetings and other external community forums to garner support and information for the services of the agency.Ensure compliance with all pertinent licensure, government and agency regulations and operating standards.Support the development of, and implement electronic health record (EHR) systems that effectively address documentation standards and requirements for all services rendered.Facilitate and communicate decisions to all departments in collaboration with program leadership team - to include, Chief Medical Director, EVP of BH Services, AVP of Operations and Quality.Collaborate with leadership team to identify and influence change.Support Director of Clinical Services and other key leadership in the promotion of collaborative care between the clinical and medical staff, as needed, act as a liaison between clinical and medical teams.Lead programmatic initiatives, to include contributing to new program development, as identified in strategic planning and as assigned by EVP of BH services.Support grant writing and other philanthropy activities to support on-going funding for programs, as assigned by EVP of BH Services.Provides clinical program development consultation to division behavioral health programming that incorporates therapeutic approaches to service delivery. i.e., OMH Community Residences coping strategies/skill building activities.Other duties as assigned and as align with role.QualificationsMasters' Degree in clinical field or equivalent with clinical licensure, LCSW-R preferred.5-7 years clinical experience, to include previous leadership experience.Intermediate Computer Skills (Windows, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, Access, Power Point);Intermediate skills in EHR clinical documentation platform and software.Must have valid NYS Driver's LicenseMust possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances are warranted.BenefitsOur work environment provides the opportunity to grow and learn in a fast-paced atmosphere.
