About the Role

The School of Arts and Sciences is on the lookout for a dynamic Associate Vice Dean for Development to spearhead our fundraising and alumni engagement efforts. We are searching for a strategic leader who appreciates the value of a liberal arts education and is committed to fostering inclusivity. In this pivotal position, you will shape our engagement and fundraising strategy, collaborating closely with the Vice Dean and managing a dedicated team of professionals.

The ideal candidate will possess over ten years of development experience with a focus on major and principal gifts, and at least five years in a managerial role, ideally in complex academic environments. Your responsibilities will include:

• Establishing a clear strategic direction for fundraising efforts.
• Collaborating with central staff to ensure cohesive advancement initiatives.
• Overseeing a variety of advancement programs and initiatives.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with faculty, staff, volunteers, and the community.
• Representing the institution on multiple committees.

Success in this role requires exceptional communication skills, the ability to navigate a large and complex organization, and a proven track record in successful fundraising endeavors.
