Associate Veterinarian -or- Medical Director (GP-lite, no surgery) West Side Pet Clinic is hiring an experienced veterinarian or Medical Director to provide comprehensive medical care to a variety of animal patients. We are looking for a doctor who prefers to focus solely on outpatient/preventative care and does not wish to perform surgeries. However, if you're interested in performing surgery, you can perform your own surgeries at our one of our other partner hospitals. What to Expect
  • Salary: $120,000 - $135,000 per year + 20% production
  • Sign-On Bonus: Up to $20,000
  • Location: 1255 Niagara St, Buffalo, NY 14213
  • Schedule: The schedule is currently Monday through Friday, but we plan to open on Saturdays in the future, with participation required on a rotating basis.
  • Hours of operation:
    • Monday - Friday: 8am - 5pm
    • Saturday & Sunday: Closed

Associate Veterinarian Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, client-focused medical care with a focus on preventative medicine and outpatient services
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pet owners and communicate effectively about treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate medical records and follow up on patient progress
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to promote a positive, team-oriented environment
  • Contribute to a respectful, inclusive, and efficient clinic culture
  • Refer patients to sister hospitals when advanced diagnostics, surgery, or hospitalization is needed
Medical Director Responsibilities
  • Ensure high standards of care and oversee patient treatment.
  • Manage and mentor veterinary staff and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement medical protocols and quality control measures.
  • Communicate with clients and manage the department's budget.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stay updated on veterinary advancements.
  • Lead emergency responses and engage with the community.
Requirements:
  • State Veterinary Board License must be in good standing for the state in which they intend to be hired, prior to their start date.
  • DVM or VMD level degree required
  • Minimum 3-5+ years of clinical experience
