The Division of Education in the Department of Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School seeks to appoint an exemplary educator with clinical expertise to join our internal medicine residency leadership team as an Associate Program Director (APD). The APD role requires significant engagement with resident teaching and supervision in the clinical setting. The role requires eligible candidates to: Serve as the attending of record for internal medicine hospitalized patients on resident teaching teams for 16 weeks and weekends each academic year. Serve as the overall Elective Director for the residency in collaboration with site directors. Deliver a longitudinal board review on a selected topic. Engage in key residency activities, including but not limited to service on the clinical competency and GME committees, curriculum development, recruitment, conferences, retreats, mentoring, and coaching. The internal medicine residency program has 71 categorical residents and three instructor-level chief residents in a 4+1 model. Rotations involve two hospitals, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital & Penn Medicine, Princeton Medical Center, and three continuity clinic settings.
