Chapin is seeking a motivated and energetic individual for the position of Associate Product Manager. This is a highly visible role that can definitely lead to advancement within the company.

Associate Product Manager: Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing the product lifecycle from concept through commercialization and post-launch analysis.
  • Conduct market, consumer, and competitive research to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with R&D and Engineering on new product development and product improvements.
  • Support the development of business cases, pricing strategies, and product forecasts.
  • Coordinate packaging development, product labeling, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with Marketing to develop go-to-market plans, promotional strategies, and content creation.
  • Work with Sales and Sales Reps to gather customer feedback, understand retailer needs, and provide product training materials.
  • Analyze sales, margin, and other key performance metrics to evaluate product success and recommend improvements.
  • Track industry and competitor activity and summarize key insights for the team.
  • Maintain an up-to-date database of competitive & market information including product catalogs, price lists, current promotions, new product introductions and regulatory issues.
  • Support project management and ensure on-time delivery of key product milestones.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in Product Management, Brand Management, or a related role with CPG (consumer packaged goods) products is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort with data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to analyze industry trends and competitor behavior.
  • Ability to identify improved Product features and contribute to marketing strategies.
  • Experience in gathering and interpreting qualitative Product data and consumer feedback.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with project management tools and processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with PIM and DAM systems a bonus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
