The Associate Product Manager will be responsible for the growth and profitability of a subset of filler metal products in North America.

Primary Duties
  • Portfolio management
    • Develop and maintain overall product plans for your portfolio in your assigned product category.
    • Review and analyze current performance, portfolio health, market needs, trends, and other data.
    • Define target segments to pursue. Map needs for these segments and, in collaboration with global product marketing and engineering, translate these needs into offerings and services roadmaps.
    • Conduct voice of customer (VOC) interviews with end users, distributors, and Sales Teams to perform trend mapping.
  • Revenue Growth
    • Work with regional sales teams to implement an effective commercial strategy to drive sales revenue in these segments, including participating in customer visits.
    • Set pricing for all products in the portfolio.
    • Lead the pricing work for large RFQs and bids.
    • Create promotions and programs to drive revenue growth.
    • Collaborate with marketing communication to innovate ways to reach and deliver the value proposition message to target customers.
    • Recommend solutions to customers as a subject matter expert in welding specialty alloys.
    • Provide related training to sales, field marketing, and channel partners.
    • Define and grow alternative channels to market.
  • Cost Management
    • Work with Sourcing and Operations teams to identify and implement cost improvement projects.
    • Work with Supply Chain and Production teams to manage the demand forecast for their product line.
    • Collaborate with supply chain and other stakeholders to make delivery, quality, and servicing performance a key competitive differentiator.
    Qualifications
    • Technical Degree with focus on Welding or Metallurgy or Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years' professional experience.
    • 2+ years' work experience in industrial manufacturing or related industries is preferred.
    • Experience working across multiple functions/departments within and outside the organization.
    • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including communicating complex technical content to diverse audiences.
    • Ability to support and interact appropriately with cross-functional personnel.
    • Customer-focused mindset and a structured, efficient approach to responding to customer needs.
    • Proficient in project management.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.
    Work Environment
    • This position is eligible for hybrid remote work, with at least 3 days/week in person at the office.
    • Remains in a stationary position 50% of the time and involves physical activities such as ascending/descending stairs, walking, stooping, and standing.
    • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working/visiting manufacturing and plant locations.
    • Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment including printers, tablets, and cell phones.
    • May be exposed to varying weather conditions during travel.
    • Travel up to 30% within the US, Canada, and Mexico.
