Job DescriptionAmerica Reports seeks a talented, organized, and motivated Associate Producer/Writer with a keen interest in news and politics. The role involves writing anchor scripts, including readers, VOSOTs, and guest and reporter hit intros. The candidate must produce engaging lower thirds and teases, work well under deadline pressure, communicate effectively, and demonstrate a drive to succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Write copy for anchors, including readers, teases, and intros.
  • Develop compelling stories that meet editorial standards.
  • Monitor events, log material, and identify news highlights.
  • Stay updated on editorial information and communicate changes promptly.
  • Perform research, produce elements, and write scripts as needed.
  • Coordinate story development and report to senior and executive producers in New York.
  • Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in television production.
  • Bachelor's Degree in journalism or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong logistical and editorial skills, with knowledge of national and international politics.
  • Self-starter capable of working independently and in a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, multitask, and prioritize, especially during breaking news.
  • Familiarity with iNews, Dalet, and VIZ preferred.

    Pursuant to pay disclosure laws, the salary range for this role is $60,000 to $79,000 annually, dependent on education, skills, experience, and location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k), paid time off, and more, in accordance with applicable plans and agreements.
