Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8 AM- 5 PM May be asked to float to other locations for coverage, as needed.
Location : Onsite - 674 W Liberty St, Sumter, SC 29150
Primary Responsibilities:
Greet and check in patients
Verifies patient demographics and insurance information
Collects outstanding balances, co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurances
Checks patients out and schedules future appointments
Performs general clerical duties
Meets the communication needs of the patient/ family, practice providers, and practice staff
Participate in performance improvement activities
Greet patients in a professional and courteous manner
Directs patients to appropriate areas
Check-in' all patients, gives patient medical forms to complete and update if needed
Collecting payments, printing receipts, and posting payments
Scanning and filing patients' information if needed
Reconciles cash drawer daily and send deposit to Department manager
Retrieve and sort mail into appropriate boxes
Sorts and documents any returned mail
Maintains a good working relationship with practice staff members
Performs all other duties assigned
Meets dress code standards: appearance is neat and clean
Completes annual/ monthly education requirements
Reports to work on time and as scheduled
Completes work in a timely manner
Attend staff meetings
Ensures patient confidentiality
Complies with all practice policies and procedures.
Willing to work weekends in rotation and travel to either of the 2 Urgent Cares to fulfill the business needs

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
1+ years of experience in medical office setting
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $27.69 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
