SUMMARY

The Associate Paid Search Specialist at Butler/Till executes paid search campaigns across the agency enterprise. They analyze campaign performance, are comfortable in quality assurance of paid search campaigns, and communicate effectively with internal teams. Additionally, they keep a strong pulse on industry news & trends. A successful Associate Paid Search Specialist should have the ability to not only execute paid search campaigns but also provide support to senior-level staff for escalating issues. KEY OUTCOMES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Outcome: Creating and maintaining Paid Search campaigns, to drive performance and value on behalf of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists specialists and senior specialists in the bulk setup and ongoing management of hundreds or thousands of paid search campaigns
  • Pacing: This role will pull and compile results of in-market campaigns, ensuring that they are spending and performing as expected.
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of assigned paid search campaigns with guidance from senior team members, implementing daily optimizations based on performance goals and measurement frameworks.
  • Assist in QA for paid search campaigns, monitoring data trends, budget pacing, and performance metrics while ensuring consistent documentation.
  • Conduct keyword analysis and craft compelling, high-quality ad copy
  • Optimizations: This role will recommend changes to the settings and inputs within the Search buying platform based on pre-established benchmarks and defined approaches.
  • Continuously develop expertise in paid search best practices, bid management systems, keyword tools, and industry trends.
  • Maintain and update internal documentation to ensure consistency and accuracy in processes.

Key Outcome: Contribute to strategic direction through cross-functional collaboration, performance insights, and thought leadership to ensure media plans align with and advance client business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Kick off the planning process by working cross functionally with the Senior Specialist, Channel Manager, Integrated Planning and Account teams. Provide guidance and answer questions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights, offer recommendations and optimizations to exceed campaign benchmarks.
  • Continuously analyze key performance metrics to measure effectiveness of campaign initiatives.

Key Outcome: Collaborates closely with team members to help campaigns run smoothly, support client communication, and share ideas to promote thought leadership within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with Senior Specialist and Specialist peers to ensure campaign management tasks are completed and executional best practices are followed.
  • Supports Integrated Planning team in the development of channel plans including budget forecasts, campaign/bid strategies, campaign structure, competitive insights, and key learnings that can be put into actionable items.
  • Supports defining our approach and answering internal cross-functional team questions and inquiry. May occasionally interface with clients as well.
  • Collaborates with Analytics, Integrated Planning, and Account Service teams to build reports and craft client communication.
  • Assists in rolling out new testing opportunities quarterly through conducting research, analyzing performance data, planning execution, and forecasting for input into testing briefs.
  • Collaborates to author thought leadership material (POVs, blog posts, white papers, etc.).

Key Outcome: Review campaign data to help find trends, assist with reporting, and suggest ways to improve results based on team guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists in analyzing, reviewing, and reporting the effectiveness of campaigns.
  • Effectively communicates and educates internal teams on performance nuances, citing team-driven optimizations and/or external factors that impacted performance.
  • May be asked to assist with troubleshooting reporting to assist with campaign measurement.
  • Collaborates with Analytics to ensure data accuracy in dashboards and recommend appropriate KPIs for recommended channel activation strategies.
  • Collaborates with channel peers to understand cross-channel dependencies and build synergistic strategies to further overall campaign performance.

Key Outcome: Manage media budgets with precision and efficiency, ensuring accurate billing and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute toward monthly forecasting, billing, and maintenance of process documentation.
  • Maintaining “Media Buy” entry within MediaOcean / Prisma.
  • Assists with Invoice Approval and Reconciliation, ensures all known fees / discounts / added value etc. are correctly accounted for.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS –
  • EDUCATION - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business or equivalent work experience.
  • EXPERIENCE – 0-1 years of professional experience in an office type environment, including familiarity and comfort with productivity tools such as MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, etc.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS –
  • Experience working in multi-location marketing and/or highly regulated industries.
  • Proactive and curious attitude. Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment with rapidly changing priorities.
  • Use of advanced Search bidding platforms (SA360, Marin, etc.)

COMPENSATION

Butler/till is committed to providing pay transparency of our compensation philosophy and ensuring equitable pay practices for our employee owners. The compensation range for this position is $36,000 - $51,000 and represents the annual salary range in Rochester, NY. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience.

This is just one component of butler/till's total compensation package for employee owners. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including ESOP (employee stock ownership plan), an annual bonus, in addition to a full benefits package, and paid time off benefits, including 100% paid parental leave. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
