Associate Mold Technician - NORMA Group : Job Details

As part of an international mid-sized corporation with ambitious growth plans, an innovative mindset and high customer focus, NDS is looking for highly motivated and team-oriented individuals with eagerness to join our journey from good to great.SummaryMold Technicians are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of molds to ensure quality production.Responsibilities* Operate lathe to do simple jobs such as cut and/or polish mold pins and to recondition mold parts* Operate and maintain the milling machine* Troubleshoot and repair molds in the molding machines as necessary* Troubleshoot and repair hot runner systems* Troubleshoot and repair mold hydraulic systems* Inventory control of replacement parts* Other duties as assignedPosition Requirements* High School diploma or general education degree (G.E.D)* Experience and/or training in plastic injection mold maintenance or equivalent combination of education* Ability to read and write simple reports* Ability to interpret simple documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals, company policy handbooks etc.* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.* Ability to demonstrate mechanical aptitude* Must have basic mathematical skill and mechanical aptitudes* Must have ability to work in a learning and team environment* Must be able to work and communicate alongside peers, mentors, and menteesWork Conditions* Frequently talk and hear, stand for extended periods of time, reach with hands and arms, handle and feel.* Frequently walk.* Constantly use hands to finger, handle and feel, balance.* Occasionally reach, stoop or balance.* Occasionally lift 0 to 50 lbs.* No unusual working conditions exist for this positionLevels of Mold Technicians* Associate Mold Technician - 0-2 years of demonstrated experience and/or equivalent skill and aptitudeNDS, a proud member of NORMA Group, is a market leader for solutions in Storm Water Management, Efficient Landscape Irrigation, and Flow Management for residential and commercial markets.
