Associate Medical Assisting Program DirectorJob Title: Associate Medical Assisting Program DirectorLocation: The College of Health Care Professions
Schedule:
Three days per week: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Position Overview:The Associate Medical Assisting (MA) Program Director at The College of Health Care Professions plays a key role in supporting the MA Program Director to deliver high-quality education and training. This position involves overseeing curriculum development, managing instructional staff, monitoring student progress, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional accreditation standards. The Associate Director will help maintain a supportive and effective learning environment, ensuring the success of students and the continued growth of the program.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and Support Instructional Staff: Provide guidance, mentorship, and ongoing professional development for instructors.
Curriculum Development: Assist in the development, review, and continuous improvement of the MA curriculum with instructors and the advisory committee.
Compliance: Ensure all program activities meet federal, state, and accreditation requirements.
Monitor Student Progress: Track student performance and retention, offering guidance and support when needed.
Staff Recruitment and Development: Help recruit, train, and develop qualified instructional staff to maintain program quality.
Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate student and employee records and ensure adherence to academic policies.
Program Development: Assist in expanding the program through the development of new courses and initiatives.
Instructor Responsibilities:
Teach and Manage Classroom: Deliver engaging, diverse course content and effectively manage classroom dynamics.
Student Support: Provide academic advising, tutoring, and guidance to students to help them succeed.
Assess Student Performance: Grade assignments, provide constructive feedback, and track student progress.
Maintain Professionalism: Ensure punctuality, maintain professionalism, and foster a safe, supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:
Required:
Associate's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience in medical assisting.
Current Medical Assisting Certification and CPR Certification.
3+ years of direct patient care experience.
Preferred:
Teaching experience or a passion for training and mentoring future medical professionals.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
