Associate

Responsibilities:
- Analyze client energy and water usage and cost and create models for future energy and water use scenarios;
- Build and improve detailed Excel models simulating range of outcomes of Renewable Energy (RE) solutions;
- Conduct and lead transaction-related project due diligence processes;
- Synthesize and summarize information and develop hypotheses to guide analytical process to desired outcomes;
- Lead change management initiatives with clients to identify roadblocks and develop solutions that ensure projects and decision-making remain on schedule;
- Contribute to the growth and development of client relationships and innovative solutions in emerging markets;
- Provide technical leadership and improve client-specific problem solving; and
- Liaise with clients and make presentations to clients.
- 100% work from home allowed.
- ~5% travel required to client sites or HQ office.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Energy & Environment, Environmental Engineering, or a related field;
- 1 year of experience in a related occupation;
- Experience providing technical support to solar and renewable energy project development across various states and facility types;
- Experience developing comprehensive energy models using tools like Python, PVWatts, Helioscope, Tableau and Plexos;
- Experience leading cross-functional teams to create resource documents, case studies, and procurement strategies;
- Experience analyzing large datasets using tools like Python, R, Monte Carlo Simulation, @Risk and VBA, to assess renewable energy potential and make data-driven policy recommendations;
- Experience compiling research documents and publications, using industry tools and platforms such as Wood Mackenzie, S&P Capital IQ Pro;
- Experience designing and executing decarbonization and energy optimization models, incorporating financial modeling, tax equity modeling, and linear optimization;
- Experience managing end-to-end project processes, from conducting site feasibility studies and calculating GHG baselines to guiding clients through complex renewable energy procurement and contracting phases; and
- Experience using renewable energy tools such as PVWatts, PVSyst, Helioscope, and Aurora.
Salary: $124,500
