Associate, Investment Grade Credit Analyst - Private Investment Firm : Job Details

The credit team of the Private Investment Firm seeks to hire a research analyst to collaborate with and support the investment grade team in managing approximately $10 billion in corporate bonds across multiple portfolios. The analyst will cover multiple sectors and will be responsible for producing alpha-generating, relative value investment recommendations.

The analyst will work closely with colleagues in research, portfolio management and the Chief Investment Officer. They will collaborate with colleagues from teams across the firm to provide insights, when necessary.

Responsibilities:

Build, maintain, and enhance credit models for assigned coverage universe

Generate written analysis and recommendations for specific credits, sectors and situations

Facilitate cross-sector relative value and credit discussions with the portfolio management team and analyst colleagues

Deliver relative value trade ideas across industries, sectors and capital structures to the portfolio management team

Engage with covered issuers on credit and material risk factors, including ESG

Qualifications:

At least 3-5 years of experience in an investment function.

Strong academic credentials: Bachelor s degree in a quantitative subject (i.e., finance, economics, etc.) post Graduate degree in a related field and demonstrated success towards CFA certification preferred

Demonstrated success in a research analyst role, cross-sector coverage preferred.

Proven bottom-up fundamental modeling and analytical skills. An understanding of top-down thematic views is preferred.

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Adept at articulating investment insights to portfolio management teams.
