This position will report to the Chief Business Affairs and Legal Officer, and is subject to the firms hybrid working policy (in office three days per week).Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with business leaders, provide legal advice, and manage external counsel on a wide range of matters arising in the operation of a large, SEC-registered investment firmLead strategic initiatives, manage workstreams, review contracts, and create best practices in a collaborative, team-oriented mannerBe cognizant of legal developments and help ensure the firm meets or exceeds legal and regulatory standards and remains informed of market practiceRequirementsMinimum of 5 years of relevant corporate law experienceJD with strong academic record and training from a nationally recognized law firmPrior experience within investment management preferredAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build positive working relationships with colleagues at all levelsExcellent communicator with strong contract review and drafting skillsAbility to successfully negotiate on behalf of the firmSelf-motivated professional with a positive attitude, proactive approach, and ability to work independentlyWhat We OfferThis position offers the opportunity to join a collegial, entrepreneurial firm committed to the personal and professional growth of its team members and to maintaining a positive, encouraging work environment where people enjoy working together.
