**Associate Director, Trade & Shopper Marketing**

The **Associate Director**, **Trade & Shopper Marketing** will play the crucial role of connecting the dots between Brand Marketing, Key National and Regional Retailers, and shoppersdelivering overall business goals for both the brand and the retailer by developing and implementing strategies that engage shoppers through the full path to purchase. As the complexity of the consumer landscape rapidly evolves, the ideal candidate must have a deep understanding across all modes of the Omni-channel shopper journey, including in-store, dotcom, and online pickup and delivery. Charged with driving joint value creation, the candidate must seamlessly and effectively partner cross functionally and motivate multiple internal and external stakeholders. This role is based out of our **NYC HQ** reporting directly to the **VP, Brand and Growth Marketing**. **Main Responsibilities:**

* Use a holistic understanding of company and brand priorities to develop the trade marketing strategy for our portfolio of brands, bringing sales and trade marketing expertise to comprehensive below-the-line program development.

* Act as an execution and creative bridge between Brand Marketing and Sales execution/Retailer/DSD programming

* Manage the customization and implementation of national and regional brand programming within all retail channels to deliver volume and growth

* Own the development of all sell-in tools, including strategic presentations, channel/retailer insights, 1-pagers and sell sheets and represent Brand Teams in presentations to Retail or DSD partners as needed (some travel required)

* Own the marketing strategy and investment for key retail accounts, tailoring brand programs and priorities through tactics including but not limited to omni-channel and shopper media, content and consumer review syndication, loyalty programs, couponing, and cross-merchandising

* Manage 2 direct reports to build strategic programs and develop, forecast, and produce all point-of-sale and supporting materials, and support our conventional retailers eCommerce businesses.

* Own and aggregate any customized, key account-specific programs and initiatives that drive the business within the account.

* Leverage understanding of occasions and rich insights to provide consumer and shopper-driven solutions that drive brand performance across all channels (volume, share, program execution, distribution, velocity)

* Manage the ROI for brand, channel, and retailer-specific BTL programs, recommending optimizations and interventions when needed

* Liaise with National/Regional Account and DSD Teams on all issues and opportunities relevant to their positions including merchandising, marketing, and any other applicable plans/actions

**Qualifications:**

* 5-7 years sales, trade, and/or shopper marketing experience

* In-depth knowledge of trade marketing and CPG sales organizations

* In-depth understanding of the shifting retail landscape, and omni/shopper media platforms

* In-depth knowledge of the grocery landscape and shopper marketing best practices

* Highly organized, self-motivated, strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to help shape the future of a young, growing consumer brand

* Strong communication skills, both internal and external. Ability to develop selling materials and to sell programs

* Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, IRI, and internal data systems

* Analytical and solutions-oriented

* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative, cross-functional working environment
