Location: Santa Monica, California

Your Mission

As Associate Director of Product for Monetization, you are responsible for driving the success of our monetization and content strategy initiatives on Call of Duty: Mobile. You will collaborate with analysts and researchers to enhance our understanding of key monetization opportunities and challenges faced by players. Your role involves ideating new monetization features, systems, pricing strategies, and content strategies, and partnering closely with our development partners at Tencent in China to align on the overall roadmap. Additionally, you will evaluate the performance of new monetization initiatives through A/B testing, analysis, and research, applying learnings to improve the game. You will manage a Product Manager and a Senior Data Scientist, reporting to the Senior Director of Product, who leads the Call of Duty: Mobile team.

Responsibilities
  • Drive the success of monetization and content strategy initiatives.
  • Deeply understand player needs, motivations, and pain points related to monetization to identify future opportunities.
  • Align on overall monetization strategy and roadmap, prioritizing impactful opportunities.
  • Ensure new monetization initiatives have clear goals.
  • Evaluate the performance of monetization initiatives using A/B tests, research, and analysis; synthesize learnings to improve the game.
Minimum Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in product management or related roles.
  • 2+ years of managing teams.
  • Experience with SQL, Tableau, Excel, or other analytical tools to generate insights from data.
  • Ability to synthesize insights from analysis and research to diagnose root causes and inform initiatives.
  • Strong communication and influence skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Strong execution skills with a bias for action and a track record of metric improvement.
  • Deep understanding of monetization systems in free-to-play mobile games.
  • Ability to do meetings in the evening with China-based team members (once or twice a week).
Extra Points
  • Experience using research to uncover customer problems and opportunities.
  • Basic knowledge of statistics, including A/B testing experience.
  • Experience working on mobile shooter games or similar genres.
  • Strong structured and critical thinking skills to define strategies and plans.
