FSLA Status: Exempt

Compensation:

$140,000 -$160,000, Annually & DOE

Position Overview

The Associate Director of Operations & Supply Planning is a senior leader that oversees all operational functions covering supply chain, production, sourcing, inventory, logistics, warehouse, and IT operations. This role ensures processes are efficient, sustainable, and aligned with growth goals—managing planning, vendor relationships, scheduling, and cross-departmental excellence to drive cost efficiency, on-time delivery, and high-quality standards. In addition, this role ensures our products are delivered on trend, on time, and with uncompromising quality—supporting our mission to be our customers' brand of choice.

As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, this role will embed our four strategic pillars into daily operations:

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Lead and develop cross-functional teams in Supply Planning, Warehouse Operations, Production, Sourcing, and IT.
  • Align operations strategy with the four strategic pillars and corporate goals.
  • Establish KPIs for efficiency, accuracy, on-time delivery, and quality assurance across all operational areas.

Warehouse Operations

  • Oversee all aspects of warehouse management, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, speed, and safety.
  • Ensure warehouse capacity and infrastructure align with growth plans.

IT Operations

  • Provide strategic oversight of IT infrastructure, systems, and support.
  • Ensure ERP, supply chain, and warehouse management systems are optimized for operational efficiency.
  • Partner with IT leadership to implement technology solutions that drive innovation, automation, and data accuracy.

Supply Planning & Demand Management

  • Oversee demand forecasting and sales & operations planning (S&OP) processes.
  • Ensure alignment of supply plans with company sales forecasts, inventory targets, and production schedules.
  • Identify risks in supply continuity and create contingency plans.
  • Manage inventory optimization to balance service levels with working capital goals.

Sourcing & Vendor Management

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with domestic and international suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing to achieve cost savings and favorable terms.
  • Ensure vendors meet quality, ethical, and sustainability standards.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address issues proactively.

Production & Logistics

  • Oversee production scheduling to ensure on-time delivery of products.
  • Collaborate with the logistics partners to ensure cost-effective, timely, and sustainable transportation.
  • Evaluate and implement technology solutions to improve production visibility and supply chain efficiency.

Sustainability & Compliance

  • Integrate sustainability objectives into operations and supply chain decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, labor laws, and ethical sourcing standards.
  • Maintain certifications or partnerships relevant to sustainability and responsible sourcing.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Operations, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, supply chain, warehouse, and/or IT management—preferably in apparel, beauty, or consumer goods.
  • Proven leadership experience managing multi-functional teams and global supply chains.
  • Strong background in S&OP, demand planning, and vendor management.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong strategic leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in supply chain software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Understanding of sustainability practices in supply chain operations.

  • Product First: Forecast accuracy, on-time product launches, product quality scores.
  • Customer Always: Order fill rate. Provide exceptional service and support to strengthen customer relationships.
