Base pay range $65,000.00/yr - $78,000.00/yr Associate Director of Housing and Residential Services** Department: Associate Director of Housing and Residential Services** Department: Housing and Residential Services Location:Fitchburg, MA Employment Type: Full-Time, Benefited Posting Date: June 10, 2025 Application Deadline: July 7, 2025, 11:59 PM EDT Salary Range:\$65,000 - \$78,000 annually (dependent on experience and negotiations, including housing options) Job Summary: *The Associate Director of Housing and Residential Services provides leadership for residence education, student conduct, and community standards. They foster a safe, inclusive, and cohesive residential community, supporting student success and engagement. The role involves overseeing student conduct cases, crisis response, community programming, staff supervision, and collaboration with campus departments and external agencies.* **Key Responsibilities:** -Manage daily student conduct processes: review reports, assign cases, serve as a hearing officer, and handle appeals. -Lead efforts to enforce policies related to student behavior, including drug and alcohol issues. -Serve as a member of the CARE team to address student welfare and behavioral concerns. -Respond to emergencies/crises on a rotating basis, including after-hours incidents. -Collaborate with departments like Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Public Safety on student retention and success initiatives. -Support and develop Residential Learning Communities and student leadership programs. -Oversee departmental assessment, goal setting, and data analysis. -Supervise staff, including graduate and support employees. -Assist with planning and implementing community programming and student engagement activities. -Support campus safety and compliance with laws like FERPA, Title IX, and Clery. -Assist in training staff and students, along with managing program development. Serve as acting supervisor in the absence of the Director. Qualifications:** -Minimum 5 years of experience in student conduct, residential life, or student affairs. -Strong knowledge of student development, crisis management, and campus policies. -Excellent interpersonal, counseling, and conflict-resolution skills. -Ability to handle sensitive situations professionally and discretely. -Familiarity with laws and regulations such as FERPA, Title IX, and Clery Act. Experience working with diverse student populations with a commitment to equity and social justice. -Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with ability to manage multiple projects and staff. -Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and external partners. Satisfactory background check (CORI).
