Overview: The Associate Director of Content Production leads all photo and video initiatives while managing a team of 3-7 individuals. They provide pre- and post-production guidance with a strong presence on-set during production. They help craft stories through video, photography, and other media to achieve objectives, drive revenue, and control production costs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the content team, fostering growth and skill development.
  • Attend all shoots as on-site director; maintain a strong presence on-set.
  • Create compelling stories through video, photography, and new media; collaborate on storyboards and scripts.
  • Review content projects and provide constructive feedback.
  • Identify new content opportunities, exploring emerging technologies and formats.
  • Set operational standards and guide the team toward strategic, forward-thinking results.
  • Build and maintain relationships inside and outside the organization.
  • Foster a collaborative and energized work environment.
  • Stay informed on content trends and assist with editing as needed.
  • Manage all aspects of production, including budgeting, vendor relations, and project timelines.
  • Research and maintain vendor and partner relationships for quality production output.
  • Support sales efforts to drive revenue.
  • Perform additional duties or projects as assigned.
  • Education / Experience

    Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, video production, communications, or related field preferred; 2-5 years of experience in a fast-paced agency or production environment.

    Skills & Abilities

    Creative and independent project leadership, at least 1 year of leadership experience, entrepreneurial mindset, project management skills, excellent organizational and communication skills, and strong analytical abilities.

    Technical Skills

    Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Mac systems, multimedia gear, and editing software like Premiere or Final Cut Pro. Graphic design skills are a plus.

    Physical & Work Environment

    Regular sitting, standing, and manual operation of equipment; light to moderate lifting up to 30 lbs. Primarily office environment with interaction with staff, vendors, and clients. Reasonable accommodations provided for disabilities.

    Effective oral and written communication; ability to understand and apply instructions; deal with variables in standard and non-standard situations.
